We left you with quite the cliffhanger in our introduction by teasing the world’s first production-ready Variable Compression Turbo engine, so let’s now take a more in-depth look at that engine and the other engine option of the all-new 2019 Nissan Altima lineup.
As for that world’s first production-ready Variable Compression Turbo engine, it’s a 2.0-liter Variable Compression Turbo inline four-cylinder engine featuring 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. A next generation 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine featuring 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque is also available for the 2019 Altima lineup.
And since we also touched on the all-new Altima lineup’s all-new open interior design in our introduction, let’s now take an in-depth look at how much passenger space you’ll get thanks to the newly open layout. The front of the 2019 Altima lineup offers 39.2 inches of head room, 44.1 inches of leg room and 58.2 inches of shoulder room. The rear of the 2019 Altima lineup offers 36.9 inches of head room, 35.1 inches of leg room and 57.1 inches of shoulder room.
