2017 Nissan Maxima | Rome, GA
Sometimes, you just know. You’re sitting in traffic, a car passes you coming from the other direction, causing you to momentarily erase all other thoughts from your head. Every thought except for, “What was that?” That, our friends, is the singular mission of the 2017 Nissan Maxima. From its innovative floating roofline to its throaty performance profile to the unmistakable V-Motion Grille, the new Maxima continues on the precedent set with the redesigned 2016 model, and it’s now available at Heritage Nissan.
The thrill begins with the iconic 3.5L VQ V6 engine, which imbues the 2017 Nissan Maxima with an excellent 300 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque. Even with all of this throaty power, however, the Maxima still achieves up to 30 highway mpg, proving that Nissan hasn’t lost its penchant for terrific efficiency as it ramps up its power output. Perhaps most excitingly, though, is the advent of the standard drive selector mode, which allows drivers to quickly shift into Sport Mode when the roads open up, allowing the Maxima to explore its full potential.

From the moment its redesign was announced prior to the 2016 model year, the Maxima has made a practice of exceeding and defying expectations. Now that it’s arrived for 2017, this practice only intensifies. It begins with its best-ever technology features, highlighted by the Advanced Drive-Assist Display, Display Commander, and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also now adds the innovative “Swipe to Meter” feature, which allows drivers to move a navigation from the center technology stack to the instrument panel with the touch of a finger.
These features are supported by a host of excellent safety features, all of which work in unison to keep driver and passengers secure. New benchmarks for the Maxima’s safety features include the Integrated Dynamics-Control Module, or the IDM. As it monitors conditions and driving habits, the IDM provides Active Trace Control, Active Engine Brake and Active Ride Control, allowing users to enjoy better handling when the situation dictates it. These are supported by a number of crash-mitigation features, which work to prevent, respond and protect when the need arises.
All of this and more can now be found on the 2017 Nissan Maxima, which is now available at Heritage Nissan, serving the drivers in nearby Rome, GA.
